How Orthodox Christians Celebrate a Feast

SSS-L0005

An Orthodox feast is more than a special date on the calendar: it is a holy celebration in which the Church remembers God’s saving work and participates in the life of Christ. Students learn the pattern PREPARE → GATHER → CELEBRATE → CARRY through prayer, fasting, Scripture, hymnody, icons, worship, and Christian life.

A feast as worship, Scripture, icon, hymnody, fasting, remembrance, and participation in the life of the Church.
